Seoul | Arrival + Day 02

We thought it would be a nice idea to share our trip to Seoul in details, so we will be posting pictures and descriptions of each day. So in the following weeks you can look forward to re-experience Seoul together with us, stay tuned!
After a long ten and a half hour flight from Munich to Seoul, we had finally made it to our dream destination. Feeling quite lost at first, we eventually managed to get our luggage and find our way out of the huge maze called "Incheon International Airport". We had already exchanged some money (feeling a little paranoid because of the amount of bills we now carried) and the next step was to find a bus or metro, to bring us to 신촌 (Sinchon). Luckily we had met a very friendly Korean inside the airport earlier and he helped us with the ticket. Still shocked from the extreme heat, we waited (for about half an hour, but it really felt like a single minute because we were excited about basically everything) for our bus. Super tired and exhausted we spent the rest of the day in the hotel and surrounding district, filling our fridge with cold drinks and some snacks.
Feeling enegertic after a good 12 hour sleep, we headed to 명동 (Myeongdong) and spent the day shopping, eating street food, sightseeing a little and sweating a lot. After returning to Sinchon, we walked around quite a bit and had a look at all the shops and street vendors, some still opened at 22:00 ~ 23:00. On our way back to the hotel, we came across a cute little restaurant and bought some 김밥 (Gimbap/Kimbap), which we ate while chatting and planning the next day.
